It rained last night! Who would have thought that after the beautiful spring we have had, that we would have been plunged into such a dry spell! The grass hadn’t been mowed for much of the month of June, because I like to keep it as green as possible. Keeping it long helps with keeping it green. I did succumb to mowing the garden area on Tuesday, just to tidy up the rows. But…the flowers are struggling. I continue to give the seedlings a little drink in the evenings and those that are big enough to be mulched have been, but some are still too little to handle the heavy mulch. I have seen little ones peeking through, so there is hope.
We will close for this week (June 19th through June 26th) to allow the flowers to catch up. The little rain last night will help and there is forecast rain this next week. All those drops help. See you the last week of June.
