A foot or two of snow needs to melt, and temperatures need to rise out of the teens before I can even begin thinking of all that needs to be done outside in the garden. The planning continues though…saved and purchased seeds await in their organized box, early seeds have been started in my daughter’s old room, landscape drawings have begun in a graphing notebook, tools await sharpening in the shed and the ideas keep flowing to my Pinterest boards. Soon those quiet activities done in front of the fire will give way to the bustle of trimming fruit trees, finishing chicken runs, preparing garden beds and planting.
